Remember to properly switch-on and off, gadgets like hairdryers, electric toothbrushes, shavers, electronic storage and water heating systems and radios at the wall. This reduces consumption, as many appliances tend to drain power even on standby.
Try and use low flow faucets and preferably atleast a 3 star rated showerhead to cut hot water consumption by half and save on both electricity and water bills. If you can, use a bucket and mug, it'll help save lots on water bills.

Do your ironing in big batches. This stops you wasting energy every time you reheat the iron. It's a notorious energy guzzler and a big culprit for increased energy bills.
